The Itty Bitty Things

I don’t know about you, but after spending days and weeks working on the menu, after countless tastings, I want to be able to actually eat the food that I spent so much time and money on! Which leads us to our first item on our list: remembering to get fed. I know it may seem obvious, of course you’re going to be hungry and want to eat, but in reality, there’s so much going on around you that eating is most likely going to be the last thing on your mind! In this situation, it’s best to have a designated person established beforehand that will be responsible to fix you and your dulhan a plate. This person could be a friend or member of the bridal party or have a coordinator, they can handle this easily for you.

WeddingSurvivalKitAn emergency kit takes second place on our list. A kit can consist of all sorts of things, like bobby pins, safety pins, tissues, mints, etc. Because let’s be honest, even if your wedding may be planned meticulously, things happen and we all need an emergency kit.

Oral care is something I feel like a lot of people overlook. First of all, a wedding covers a whole day pretty much, and in between you’re talking to a whole bunch of people so I would highly recommend keeping floss, toothpicks and mouthwash around so even after eating you and your groom will feel refreshed. Besides there won’t be food stuck in your teeth, making your photographs flawless!

Another item that seems to be overlooked very often is a formal photography list. What that is, is a list of your closest family and friends that you would like to take pictures with at the wedding. This list would go to your photographer so they know who to call and take pictures of so there’s some sort of system there. (rather than the random pictures taken of everyone) It’s best to keep a list with yourself or MOHand then distributed to every photographer at the event.

Lastly, it’s ALWAYS a good idea to bring extra cash in your purse or wallet (for you grooms). Let’s not forget, we are hosting a South Asian wedding, you have to have plenty of cash on hand required for all the sisters who steal your shoes :) or just to tip valet and bellboys if/when you need their services.
